Nicole Sommerfeld is a dedicated personal injury attorney who focuses her practice on the representation of workers who have been injured while on-the-job. Through her efforts as a workers' compensation lawyer, Nicole has collected millions of dollars for her clients and continues to fight for those she represents on a daily basis.
Nicole was raised in the Chicago area and as a result, she has a thorough understanding of the city and those who call it home. To further her education, she chose to attend the University of Wisconsin at Madison and she graduated from that institution in 1991. At that time, Nicole knew that she wanted to pursue a career in the law where she could fight for the rights of others and this decision led Nicole to return to Chicago and begin law school. She attended The John Marshall Law School where she began to hone the legal skills that she would carry into practice and that would allow her to succeed in the legal industry. Nicole obtained her juris doctor degree in 1994 and was licensed to practice in Illinois shortly thereafter.
Unlike some other lawyers, Nicole knew early on that her professional calling was to help those who were injured seek and obtain the relief they deserved. To that end, Nicole joined the personal injury law firm of Foreman & Foreman upon her graduation from law school; that firm has since been renamed Jerome Foreman & Associates. During her time with Jerome Foreman & Associates, Nicole represented clients in all aspects of workers' compensation claims from initial client contacts through settlement of a case. She regularly appeared before the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission where she fought for the best possible outcome in each and every client she represented and she always put the interests of her clients first.
Nicole has more than two decades of experience in the realm of workers' compensation law and during that time, she has helped countless clients recover for the totality of their losses by making claims for damages including medical care, temporary total disability benefits, permanent total disability benefits, temporary partial disability benefits, permanent partial disability benefits, vocational rehabilitation benefits, and death benefits for the surviving family members of a worker who is killed on-the-job.
Nicole believes that the interests of injured workers should be placed at the forefront of any case and she never shies away from a difficult claim simply because the rights of a victim are being threatened. Rather, she takes pride in her role as a staunch advocate for her clients and she fights for them and for their families every day of the year. She is dedicated to the practice of personal injury law and to the representation of her clients as they seek to recover from their injuries. Nicole welcomes the opportunity to discuss workers' rights with anyone who has been hurt while employed and she will make every effort to help her clients move forward financially and emotionally after an accident has affected their lives.
